- 02We tailor our physiotherapy assessments and treatments around your goals. Often, we will work on walking/gait training, balance training/fall prevention strategies, and equipment suggestions such as walkers, canes etc. We also bring a treatment table for any manual therapy indicated, and some equipment for resistance training and balance. After each session, we will email a summary of our suggestions/findings, and a care plan going forward.
- 03The answer to this question changes based on the individual and their personal condition and goals. If you are experiencing pain or injury, have a neurological condition that causes functional changes, and/or are looking to increase your function (such as strength, balance, walking ability) then our services could likely be beneficial to you. We do offer free 15 minute phone consultations to see if our physiotherapy services are right for you or your loved one. Please see the bottom of the website for this information.
- 04Matthias is a Physiotherapist at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph and works in the Transitional Care and Complex Medical unit. He previously worked in Inpatient Rehab. He works frequently with patients that are seniors as well as patients with complex conditions (including neurological conditions) with varying levels of mobility. His job is to ensure safety and optimize mobility in his patients to help them achieve their goals.
- 05Our physiotherapy services are not covered by OHIP. They are covered by extended health benefits / private insurance if you have physiotherapy coverage. We do offer direct billing for private insurance plans. After each session, you will receive a receipt you can submit to your benefits plan for reimbursement if you choose not to do direct billing.
- 06Yes! We provide services in Fergus and Elora and other towns/cities surrounding our advertised servicing area. We are hoping to expand to even more cities in the near future.
- 07Yes! We can provide physiotherapy services in Long Term Care homes, Retirement Homes and hospitals. We will contact the facility beforehand to complete any necessary paperwork.
- 08Yes! We offer direct billing for extended health benefits/insurance plans that we can set up prior to or on our first appointment.
- 09Yes, we accept clients who were injured in a motor vehicle accident and require physiotherapy services. We are registered with both Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FRSA) to ensure the process is streamlined and smooth for our clients.
